Sensueel en swingend vanuit Parijs ! Elf muzikanten uit Colombia, Argentinie, Frankrijk brengen de originele Colombiaanse dansmuziek uit de jaren '50 en '60 op een professionele maar swingende en speelse wijze. Na hun voortreffelijke cd-presentatie op het Cameleonfestival 2008, 2 jaar achter mekaar afsluiter op Benenwerk 2009, 2010 en een memorabel concert in het Rivierenhof Deurne 2009 is de cd 'no me busques' nu ook uit in Argentinie. Cumbia Ya ! delves into Colombian popular traditions to bring us back the flavour of the great Colombian classics, through their own compositions. Born out of musicians from different horizons coming together, the group has grown, nourished by diversity. A perfect blend of French, Argentinean and Colombian cultures, this is where gaitas, millos and tambores meet the brassy phrases of European culture, the exhilarating melodies of the clarinette, or the lyrics of a sensual voice.
